Alabama is a southern rock and country music band which was formed in Alabama back in the 1960s. The group is made up of Randy Owen on lead vocals, Teddy Gentry on background vocals and bass guitar, Jeff Cook on guitar and Mark Herndon on drums. Their music is traditional country blended with southern rock combined with other elements of pop music and gospel music, a mix that gave them unprecedented success.
