Leona Lewis possessed strong vocals which many compare to the younger Whitney Houston. With her talent and corkscrew curls, Leona Lewis was able to win in The X-Factor's third series, a British reality talent show. She showed promise ever since her younger days and started devoting herself to music. Lewis' debut single was a soulful version of A Moment Like This by Kelly Clarkson and easily earned the top spot in the UK hit charts. In February 2007, she signed a contract with Clive Davis' J Records. Her debut album, first released in England then in the US, climbed the top of the charts, along with the single Bleeding Love.
