Artist Bio
Nirvana was formed in 1987 as an American rock band consisting of Kurt Cobain on vocals and guitar and Krist Novoselic on bass. The band went through a couple of drummers, with Dave Grohl as the most notable. He joined Nirvana in 1990. Although Cobain died in April of 1994, the popularity of the band continued in the succeeding years. From the time of their debut, Nirvana sold more than 25 million records worldwide.
