Oasis is a rock band which was formed in 1991 in Manchester. They were originally called The Rain. Oasis is made up of Liam Gallagher on vocals, Paul Arthurs on guitar, Paul McGuigan on bass guitar and Tony McCarroll on percussion and drums. Later on, the group took in Noel Gallagher, the older brother of Liam. Today, Oasis have been able to sell more than 50 million records worldwide and have bagged eight number one singles in the UK. On top of these, the group has also won numerous awards from various award-giving bodies.
