Artist Bio
Starting out as a couple of singer/songwriters hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, the members of Sugarland all have already been able to reach a level of popularity as a solo performer. Jennifer Nettles, who is the group's lead vocalist, has previously fronted for the group Soul Miner's Daughter. Her deep soul approach and gospel background made her the ideal lead vocalist for the trio. The other member, songwriter Kristen Hall, has already released two albums under Windham Hill Records. The group's third member Kristian Bush was one of the Billy Pilgrim, a duo which released two albums. They started working together back in 2002, when they self-released an EP called Premium Quality Tunes the same year. In 2006, Hall left making Sugarland a duo.
