The Offspring was formed in California in 1984 as a rock band that was credited, along with punk bands Rancid and Green Day, to have revived mainstream interest in the music genre punk rock. Today, they have already released eight albums, one compilation, three DVDs and four EPs. They have also sold more than 50 million copies of their albums worldwide, which makes them among the best-selling punk acts of all time.
