A funk band hailing from California, War is known for their hit tracks Spill the Wine, Low Rider and Why Can't We Be Friends?. The group was formed back in 1969 and was a musical crossover group that mixed the various elements of funk, rock, jazz, R&B, Latin music and reggae. The band has also been able to transcend racial and cultural barriers by having a multi-cultural line-up.
