Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Young Jeezy had originally planned to be a businessman in the music industry and not as a rapper. A couple of years prior to the production of his first Def Jam album, he set up the rap music company Corporate Thugz Entertainment. He also promoted Cash Money releases. Eventually, he became a label boss as well as an artist in his own right. He released several albums and mix tapes. In late 2006, Young Jeezy has become one of the industry's most prominent MCs.
