Cyndi Lauper is considered to be one of the biggest performing stars during the early MTV era. Her debut album, titled She's So Unusual sold 5 million copies worldwide. She also has four Top Ten hits under her belt, including "Time After Time" and "Girls Just Want to Have Fun". Her thin and girlish voice combined with her gleefully ragtag appearance gave her one of the most distinct images in the early 1980s, bringing her right to stardom.
