Deep Purple is a rock band that was formed in Hertfordshire back in 1968. They are considered as one of the pioneering groups of modern hard rock and heavy metal, along with other groups such as Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin. Aside from rock, they also incorporated other elements in their music such as of blues-rock, classical music, along with pop and progressive rock.
