The heavy-metal Dallas-based group Drowning Pool is considered as one of the bands with the biggest potential to succeed when they started out in the early 2000s. The first album that they made, Sinner, became platinum within just six weeks from its release. Bodies, their first single became one of the most aired videos on MTV which stars a new band. With their dynamic performances at Ozzfest and Wrestlemania XVIII, their audience grew larger. However, shortly after their Ozzfest performance, vocalist, Dave "Stage" Williams died due to natural causes. Although the group eventually adopted new members, they were able to stay successful as a metal group in the music industry.
