A British rock band, Foghat achieved the peak of their success during the 1970s. The group originally had Dave Peverett on guitar and vocal, Roger Earl on drums and Tony Stevens on bass. They added Rod Price to play guitar/slide guitar, forming Foghat in January of 1968. Their musical style can be classified as blues-rock, which was dominated by electronica and electric slide guitar. They have been able to score five gold records but their popularity waned during the early 1980s.
