there's no select as ringtone option?!

so, i plugged my phone into my usb cord and then into my computer, and i put the ringtone in "my sounds", but there's no option to select it as my ringtone!
it goes straight to media player!
please heeeelp!

Have u read the little booklet ur phone came with? Or u can try looking it up on youtube.
