No attachment in text!?!?

Ok I'm fairly sure I'm doing it right. I download the ringtone attach it in an e-mail send it to my phone but when i get the text there is no attachment. Help please if you have answers I want some damn tones!?!?!?

I used to beable to get ringtones no problem now all of a sudden when the text comes through on my phone it shuts my phone off??? Then I open the text and no attachment is there???? I have Verizon :confused:
