Every phone is different, but here is an almost fool-proof way to send to your phone.

1) Download the ringtone you want
2) get on your phone and send a text to your email.
3) go to your email -> reply to the text, put in a subject, and attach the ringtone -> Send
4) get on your phone and save the attachment
5) viola! new ringtone! Congratulations!
