I figured it out, so I'll post it for anyone else who might have the same phone and need an answer.

Although you can't hear the tone or see the picture in the text message when you email it to yourself, it's there anyway. Press "stop" at the bottom of the screen, then "More" on the bottom left. Touch "save attachment" and you'll get a checklist with every ringtone/pic/etc. that you emailed. Just select all of them and hit "save".
