A very talented performer in the rap/rock genre, the story of Kid Rock was considered as one of the most unlikely success stories in rock. Hailing from Detroit, Michigan, he was able to achieve superstardom with his 1998 album Devil Without a Cause. He recorded his first demo in 1988 and was booted off from major label Jive and went to release albums to a small fan base, majority of which were local. Nevertheless, Kid Rock persevered and when the rap/metal genre, he was able to attract a good amount of audience through his unique musical style.
