Led Zeppelin is probably the most definitive heavy metal band. Their music was a loud interpretation of the blues. They also incorporated mysticism, mythology as well as various other genres such as British folk and world music into their sound. In 1969, Led Zeppelin did their first American tour and later on, their debut album was released. Two months after, the group has climbed to the U.S. Top Ten. Today their legacy in music lives on with many new rock and metal bands using their sound as inspiration.
