This hot electronic music makes all you dudes wanna get up and rock on. Originating in Detroit, this genre became popular in the late 80%u2019s. Blended in are influences such as funk, electro and African American.
Don%u2019t go looking to find guitars or any other traditional instruments. Instead listen for those guitar and drum sounds as produced by the synethesizer. Musicians, nah, techno is played by DJ%u2019s who sometimes throw in some voice recordings. Then there are crossover tunes from other genres.
Played and developed in Germany by groups like Kraftwerk and in Detroit with songs like Breakbeat by DJ Abstract. Now techno is further diversified branching out into sub genres like techno trance and techno fusion. DJ Talvin Singh brought in the sounds of Indian musical instruments adding it to techno bass and drum beats. All kewl.
